Aching layers of dust and concrete slabs
surrounded by orange barrels. On 52nd
Street there’s an ice cream shop that sells
cones and two scoops for four dollars /
you can go there late at night if you want.
I went last week by myself and ordered
a chipwich with mint chocolate chip
& sat on a bench near a fountain along
Sixth Avenue. Pandemic Manhattan,
you move so slowly, you speak so soft.
